Bath Society of Artists’ 116th Annual Open Exhibition will open at the Victoria Art Gallery on 2 October and run until 20 November 2021.

Head to Brighton this September where the Brighton Dome will be revealing its culinary past for this year’s Edible England themed Heritage Open Days in a series of events taking place at the Dome and online.

Heritage Open Days are an annual celebration of history and culture which aims to bring together local people every September to find out more about their local heritage. It is a wonderful opportunity to see hidden places and try out new experiences. This year’s Heritage Open Days start on 10^th until 19^th September.

The slate landscape of North Wales, which surrounds Snowdonia in the county of Gwynedd has been awarded a UNESCO World Heritage Site title at the latest World Heritage Committee meeting in China.

Heritage railways all over the country from as far afield as Cornwall, Suffolk, North Wales, North East, Scotland and Northern Ireland are joining together in a new nationwide campaign to raise greater awareness of Britain’s heritage rail sector.

The UK government has been warned that Stone Henge could be added to the World Heritage in Danger register if current plans to place a tunnel under it continue. 

The City of Bath has been granted a second UNESCO World Heritage title, It along with ten other historic spa towns across Europe has secured much-coveted UNESCO World Heritage status as part of the ‘Great Spa Towns of Europe’ nomination, and is the only spa town to be included from the UK. 

A huge congratulations to everyone recognised at this year’s awards which were broadcast online in a virtual ceremony on 1^st July, hosted by Samira Ahmed.

Prime Minister Boris Johnsonconfirmed that England will move to step 4 from 19 July. 

The Charles Dickens Museum has unveiled its new display, which will encourage visitors to follow in the author’s footsteps around nearby sites that inspired his novel, Oliver Twist, from the museum at 48 Doughty Street.

Twenty organisations in England will benefit from a £60 million fund to help protect our national heritage for future generations. Museums, galleries and heritage organisations have been awarded £60 million to ensure nationally important museum collections and heritage assets are protected for future generations.

A call has gone out for volunteers to welcome visitors to the new City of Bath World Heritage Centre, which will open later this year in York Street.
