The remains of a woolly mammoth and a number of other ice age remains have been discovered during development of a new town located near Plymouth. The remains were found in a cave and include a mammoth, a woolly rhinoceros, a wolf and a hyena, all of which are thought to date back to around 30,000 – 60,000 years ago.

A carved falcon which sold at auction in 2019 for £75 as now been revealed as being Anne Boleyn’s heraldic emblem and has been valued at £200,000. It is now on loan to Hampton Court where it is being displayed.
The Roman Gym, a newly revealed section of the Roman Baths, in Bath, one of the most visited heritage attractions in the UK, will open on Friday 22 October 2021.
