Mature 9 acre Pleasure Grounds were created by an Arts and Crafts distinguished buildings and landscape architect Walter H. Godfrey in 1919 and present an idyllic setting surrounding the former parish workhouse refubished also by Godfrey. The formal gardens, enchanted nuttery, a spinney with many mature trees and a pond attract wild life. The woodland gardens and beautiful borders are full of colour and fragrance for year-round pleasure.
