About

Join Heritage Open Days for this guided walk, which will take you from Middleton town centre, through Middleton's parks and green spaces, including the tranquillity of the Memorial Gardens. You will discover beautiful late 19th century suburbs and stunning Palladian architecture, which once housed a natural history museum. Whether you a local or a visitor, you are sure to enjoy this walk which will take you around some of Middleton's hidden gems.

This walk combines a mix of pavements and off road surfaces. There are steps along the route, as well as one hill (unpaved) up to Alkrington Hall. Accessible toilets are available at Middleton Arena and Middleton Shopping Centre.
