Join a guided Fossil Walk with Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre's Wardens to find and take home your own Jurassic fossil!
Group size – up to 55 people
This 1.5 hour session will take place entirely outdoors, where you will head straight onto the beach to hunt for fossils with your Guide. We will take you to the best places for finding fossils, and give you tips and tricks on how to hunt for them. Anything you find on your walk is yours to keep!
To get you up to speed and wet your appetite for fossil hunting, prior to your walk we will send you out an introductory talk video, where your Warden will give you an insight into the local rocks and fossils to be found here, and you’ll see plenty of examples of what to look for too. This email and the confirmation can often end up in your junk folder, so remember to check for it there.
Our fossil walks are very popular so booking early is strongly advised!
