Sitting proudly within Kent’s last medieval deer park, Knole is a vast estate where visitors follow in the footsteps of tourists who have visited Knole’s showrooms for 400 years. The showrooms display one of the finest collections of Royal Stuart furniture and textiles and feature paintings by renowned artists. Spend the day and take in panoramic views from the top of the Gatehouse Tower, where you can discover the life and loves of a former resident. See the scale and magnificence of this 600-year-old estate by exploring the grand courtyards or wander through the parkland.
Visit The Royal Oak Foundation Conservation Studio (Wednesday to Saturday) to see experts conserving treasures from National Trust collections. The Brewhouse Café offers a wide selection of delicious hot and cold food, with indoor seating in the old brewery and outdoor seating on the roof terrace. In the gift shop you’ll find homeware, accessories, jewellery, toiletries, jams, biscuits and more. In the Bookshop browse a wide selection of books reflecting Knole’s literary history and selected titles on gardening, cookery, history, art, nature and the local area. Also discover a section dedicated to children’s titles along with toys, games and activity sets.
