Situated in magnificent grounds overlooking the River Arun in West Sussex Arundel Castle was built at the end of the 11th century by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel. Retaining many original features such as the Norman Keep, medieval Gatehouse and Barbican survive, the house was almost completely rebuilt between 1870s and 1890s the magnificent architecture in Gothic style is considered to be one of the great works of Victorian England.
