Stories, Poems & other Conversations by Conversation Club

About

Once again this year we celebrate those cultural traditions of storytelling that binds us and what they mean to migrants living in Sheffield. Through folk stories, poems and conversations we discover what we have in common, what unifies us in a diverse community, which is strange and new.

Sheffield Conversation Club, originally Sheffield Refugee Friendship Group, founded by Myra Davis in 2002, helps asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants with English by conversation with core volunteers from Sheffield and environs, and during the university year, student volunteers.

Part of Migration Matters Festival.
