The Roman Army returns to Binchester Roman Fort to do battle against the enemy!
Watch the Roman Army, including Equistry cavalry, do battle against the enemies of Rome. See demonstrations of archery, slingstaffs and the firing of the artillery catapult known as the ballista. Children can even enter the battle against local tribes!
Visit the tented Roman encampment and inspect the weapons, armour and equipment of Roman soldiers as well as the stalls of civilian traders and artisans.
Tour the site and be amazed by the size and importance of Vinovia and its magnificently well-preserved buildings.
