North Norfolk Food & Drink Festival

About

We are delighted to welcome back the much loved North Norfolk Food and Drink Festival to Holkham's glorious walled garden. Now in its 13th year, the festival features 65 artisan producers selling everything delightful and delicious from gin to chocolate, bread to cheese and chutney to brownies. As the name suggests, most of these are local producers who grow, rear, produce, supply and sell food in North Norfolk.

If you are not sure what to do with all the delicious food you've bought, The Cookery Theatre is the perfect place to see some of our amazing local chefs in action and learn some new ideas and mouth-watering recipes. Both new and established names will appear on the high tech stage, which is hosted by local foodie Andy Newman. Sara Matthews kicks off the entertainment on Saturday morning with ideas for a plant-based breakfast feast, while you can also expect a couple of decadent puddings from Scott Taylor of The Harper in Langham. Fran Hartshorne of The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe works her magic with fish, Michael Chamberlain of The Victoria at Holkham is preparing Holkham Estate venison, Abbi Saunt of Creake Abbey always creates incredibly colourful dishes, and Gary Steward of The Hoste Arms in Burnham Market is thinking small plates. Appearing on both days are the ever chirpy duo, Festival chair and Wells chef Chris Coubrough and his great friend, legendary butcher Arthur Howell. Basically, you need to expect the unexpected with them - and it is always great fun and somewhat chaotic!

Add in a wide selection of pop up concessions where you can buy delicious coffees, pizzas and more, live music, the Festival Bar run by Malt Coast, lots of picnicking options, and children's storytelling and face painting, it's a great day to enjoy all that the county's foodie scene has to offer.
