Throughout the summer holidays visit Bodiam Castle's Medieval Fair for family fun and follow The Castle the King Built trail to discover masons, minstrels and kings (£2 with a small prize). Join in with medieval games and activities over the summer holidays. weave your way around a mini jousting challenge, create your own mini-castle in the sandpit or see if you can hit the target in soft play archery. There's hobby horses, quoits and skittles to play, and more. At the Knight's School (1–9 August) bring your little ones for a day of fun, learning what it takes to be a real knight! On selected dates there's have-a-go archery (£3.50 for 6 arrows), a medieval armour display and craft workshops (£2.50/£5 per item). Or on selected weekends, walk through a medieval encampment to meet characters from the 1400s, dress the knight and discover the medieval way of life with talks and demonstrations.
