Due to open in Spring 2023, Burghley House are excited to unveil their new adventure play attraction! The new play area will offer an outdoor play destination for families locally and those visiting from afar.
The team at Burghley have worked with CAP.CO Adventure Play, who are renowned for being world-class playground designers, the new play area draws inspiration from the architecture of Burghley House which will feature a multi-level play tower featuring three impressive tall spires. It will include play elements for all ages and abilities and will also include a maze of walkways, drop slides, crawl tunnels, trails and more. Parents can also make the most of a little quiet time by visiting the nearby refreshment kiosk.
Speaking about the new area, Burghley’s Chief Executive Officer, David Pennell, said: “Designed to capture the imaginations of children of toddler age and up, with well considered facilities for parents and carers, we plan to deliver an amazing space for families to play together within the beauty of Burghley’s surrounding nature. We are thrilled to have begun work on such an exciting project and look forward to welcoming families to this new feature when we open in Spring 2023.”
The adventure play area will be situated in an area of the garden near the Sculpture Garden and is currently closed to the public. The park, restaurant, café and shop will remain open as usual during the construction stage of both projects.
There is still much to be excited about in 2022 with Burghley House’s Christmas offerings. The Burghley Christmas Shop is open until 22nd December every Wednesday until 4pm and the Orangery Restaurant is offering a host of festive treats including Christmas Lunch and Christmas Afternoon Tea between 7th and 22nd December.
