Canterbury Cathedral will be joining a new virtual exhibition and in-person collection trail as part of a project being run with the National Gallery throughout the UK. The exhibition and trail begins on 5th December and will run through until April next year.

Fruits of the Spirt: Art from the Heart pairs nine pictures from the National Gallery’s collection with nine from partner institutions, including the altarpiece from Canterbury Cathedral, which has been paired with the iconic Water-Lilies by Monet from the National Gallery’s collection.

The virtual exhibition is combined with a free digital catalogue of essays featuring over 20 authors which explores the importance of the exhibition’s themes and will be accompanied by a series of events held at the National Gallery and partner locations across Britain throughout the exhibition period.
