About

The Wales Valleys Walking Festival is a celebration of walking and the outdoor life in the Valleys of South Wales. The festival provides something for everyone, ranging from challenging all-day treks, to easier strolls and special-interest walks and all abilities are catered for. All walks have been graded to ensure you get the most enjoyment out of your walks.

Please bear in mind the terrain in The Valleys can be uneven, with steep inclines and descents, so please ensure you have appropriate clothing and footwear.

Booking is essential, so please pre-book your walks, to avoid disappointment.

This circular walk will follow part of the route taken by the Nantyglo Chartists covering Winchestown Patches and Mynydd Carn y Cefn. Walking boots, waterproofs and a packed lunch are essential.
