About

An outline of how the Bute Estate encouraged cricket, as well as other ball sports in Cardiff with the highlight being a game in August 1874 between the Bute Household XI and the All-England Eleven on Coopers Field. Meet at the Bute Park Education Centre. Lecture is by Andrew Hignell, Glamorgan Cricket Museum Archivist.
