The Story of Wales:Origins Lunchtime Talk

About

The first decade of the 21st century has been nourished by five significant Roman coin hoards found in Wales which range from the 2nd to the early 4th centuries. In this talk, these and their contexts will form our main course. Wales’s first hoard of coins of William the Conqueror, found in Monmouthshire, provides a contrasting dessert. This is a talk with Edward Besly, Archaeology Department
