Somerset Industrial Archaeological Society: The Paulton Brass and Iron Foundry Revisited

About

A talk by Shane Gould of Historic England. The foundry was investigated by Shane and SIAS Members in the late 1980s. Knowledge has greatly increased since then and the talk will review the evidence by placing the remains at Paulton within the wider context of the coalfield and the national development of iron foundries in general, together with a description of the reuse and conservation of the site.
