Join poets Rob Hindle and Fay Musselwhite on a walk that spans Rivelin Dams and Redmires Reservoirs, via the recently rediscovered WWI training trenches at Quarry Hill.
You'll encounter and reflect on the 'defensive landscapes' that mark the boundary of western Sheffield and the Peak District, and glimpse the origins of the river Rivelin. Along the way, Rob and Fay will introduce and read poems that illuminate these complex, layered environments.
The walk will start from the Rivelin Reservoir car park (300m south of Manchester Road) at 2pm; please arrive in good time to ensure a prompt departure. The walk is moderately paced with gradual ascents, and will take approximately 2 hours (including several stops along the route).
