About

This ancient custom is all but unique to Derbyshire. It's the art of decorating wells and springs with pictures made using only natural materials.

1. Village Well Dressing on Chapel Street, opposite the Methodist Chapel

2. Primary School Well Dressing on the south side of The Square, facing the Bull’s Head pub

3. Infants’ Well Dressing in the garden of the Schoolhouse (follow the path to the left of the Well Dressing on The Square)

Dedication: May 23rd, 2:00p.m.  at the Village Well Dressing on Chapel Street

Market Day is on Monday the 25th 10-4pm with something for everyone, Maypole dancing, brass band, refreshments, games etc!
