Modern Calligraphy Workshop with Mellor & Rose

About

Join Mellor & Rose at Lytham Hall, Lancashire as we letter through the seasons from Summer to Autumn and Christmas! Join us on our upcoming Modern Calligraphy Workshops, suitable for complete Beginners and Intermediates! Guided by expert tutors; Beverly Mellor and Lucy Mellor, we will begin by covering the core fundamentals of this beautiful and calming art form including how to hold a dip pen, using dipping ink, learning the pressures and rhythms which gives calligraphy those characteristic contrasting strokes before moving onto learning the upper and lower script alphabet, how to link letters, first words and phrases- all exciting!
We'll learn how to draw decorative illustrations and flourishes to complement our calligraphy and lettering up stationery pieces; cards and gift tags. The second half of the Workshop covers how to layout greetings cards, letter up and design a piece of seasonally themed wall art along with luxury stationery items. The 2.5 hour workshop includes a fully comprehensive Calligraphy Box with Starter Kit, Mellor & Rose Calligraphy Workbook, Luxe Stationery items for your Calligraphy- yours to keep forever (and ever!) to practice with at home.
To book your spot, simply get in touch with Lucy Mellor at mellorandrose@icloud.com / browse our Socials at @mellorandrose | www.mellorandrose.co.uk. We hope to see you there!
