This beloved heritage railway will be transformed into a vibrant hub celebrating the Victory Generation, promising a delightful experience for visitors of all ages. Guests can enjoy classic train services that evoke the era, enhanced by live entertainment, historical re-enactors, and a showcase of vintage vehicles. The atmosphere will be further enriched by a variety of trade stands offering authentic glimpses into the past.
Key highlights of the 2024 event include the Entertainment Marquee, featuring Fine Whines Vintage Jazz on Saturday and the South Devon Big Band on Sunday. For those eager to step onto the dance floor, the South West Lindy Hoppers will provide lively displays and tutorials throughout the weekend.
At Staverton Station, visitors can explore a compelling wartime display alongside a collection of vintage civilian and military vehicles. For enthusiasts of period fashion, a range of vintage clothing and accessory stalls will be available, complemented by a bar serving a selection of ales, lager, cider, and wine.
Included with each train ticket is unlimited travel on the South Devon Railway's heritage train services, offering a unique journey through the picturesque valley of the River Dart.
