Clive Woodman takes you down south as he recounts tales of a combined sailing & mountaineering expedition to the infamously wild and windy sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia . His four man team took 14 tents with them, and brought home just a few rags…

This series of talks are part the celebrations for the 100th Anniversary of Captain Scotts departure from Cardiff for the Antarctic on 15th June 1910.

Lunchtime Adventures are supported by The Polar People, handmade holidays in the Arctic and Antarctic and produced by Jim Mayer.
