Plantation House Hotel & Restaurant

About

Formerly the parish rectory, this much loved restaurant with rooms now offers a harmonious blend of relaxed country tranquillity and stylish sophistication, with a personal touch. A gently indulgent sanctuary on the very doorstep of river estuaries, soothing beaches, market towns and the wilderness of Dartmoor. Nestling on the green sunny bank of the river Erme valley, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Plantation House provides understated comfort in the hands of a loyal, caring team.

The kitchen boasts an experienced line up. John the expert fisherman and forager; Richard your chef/patron. Expect fine, locally sourced land and sea ingredients prepared and cooked with great care and expertise. Vegetables, fruits and eggs from the garden; breads, pastries and puddings from the kitchen; and there’s a cracking wine list. Breakfasts are irresistible and as indulgent as you may wish.

6 double, 2 twin and 2 single en suite bedrooms available. Modern bathrooms are stone clad with under floor heating, bathrobes, classy toiletries. Bedrooms all have comfy seating, sash windows, rural views and plenty of extras such as hot water bottles, fresh fruit, flowers, cafetiére coffee, in-room massage therapies.

Open all year.
