Haydn - Piano Trio in A major, Hob.XV.9 Suk Elegie, Op.23
Haydn - Piano Trio in E minor, Hob.XV:12
Dvořák - Piano Trio No.4 in E minor 'Dumky', Op.90
Founded in 2010, Trio Gaspard's members Jonian Ilias Kadesha (violin), Vashti Hunter (cello) and Nicholas Rimmer (piano) hail from Germany, Greece and the UK. Trio Gaspard is recording all the trios by Jospeh Haydn and his spirited, imaginative music often features in their programmes. Josef Suk was a pupil of Dvořák; the music by these Czech composers in this concert are intensely lyrical, poignant and redolent of Bohemian heritage.
Free tickets available for ages 8-25. See lakesidearts.org.uk/Cavatina
