Travel behind the iconic Flying Scotsman
Owned by the National Railway Museum in York, the iconic 97-tonne A3 class locomotive – completed in 1923 by the London and North Eastern Railway (L.N.E.R.) – will be running on the Swanage Railway for 5 days from Saturday, 22nd to Wednesday, 26th October.
Step back in time as you travel behind the Flying Scotsman through the spectacular, Isle of Purbeck countryside.
A return journey starting from Swanage Station is one hour in duration.
The train cannot be boarded at any other station.
There are 5 departures each day from Swanage Station at 1005, 1145, 1325, 1505 and 1645.
No hassle parking -
All tickets include the flexibility of travelling from Norden to Swanage and return on a connecting heritage train from Norden (Purbeck Park - BH20 5DW where parking charges apply) to Swanage. Check timetable for details.
