Independently run, Tissington Craft Fairs are thoughtfully curated to focus completely on handmade products and original artwork.
On each day of our markets we'll introduce you to 12 carefully curated stalls, hand picked to showcase the very best independent artists and makers from around the region. Built on an ethos of quality, variety and originality, the high standard of skill and workmanship each maker showcases is sure to exceed your expectations, and with different stalls each day, you're sure to discover new makers each time you visit.
A wide variety of different makers choose to exhibit with us each year so products may include everything from traditional stained glass and pottery to nature inspired artwork and contemporary jewellery.
Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere of our traditional makers markets, where you can browse at your own pace or enjoy chatting directly with each maker to learn more about their inspiration, creative process and any custom options that may be available for that extra special gift.
Located just 3.5 miles from Ashbourne, Tissington Village is steeped in history. Privately owned by the FitzHerbert family since the 1460's and famous for its Well Dressings, I feel immensely privileged to hold our markets in such a unique location. You cannot fail to enjoy a visit to this unspoilt quintessential English village, which is also home to a number of independent family owned businesses including a plant nursery, candle workshop and a charming tearoom/café.
All of our markets are held inside Tissington Village Hall, which is located opposite the pretty village pond. The building benefits from a Wi-Fi connection, which means many of our stallholders can easily accept card payments.
You will find our makers market here regularly between April and October, including five days of Tissington Well Dressing week starting at the end of May.
There is free entry for visitors to all of our markets and dogs are more than welcome to meet our makers too!
Free parking is available for two hours opposite Tissington Hall and there is also a council owned pay and display car park available at the Tissington Trail. During Well Dressing week there is a small charge for parking with all proceeds going to local charities.
Although you will see steps up to the main entrance, alternative access is available for wheelchair users and those with restricted mobility upon request. Disabled toilet facilities are also available.
Please see the events calendar on our website for a full list of the artisan makers exhibiting at each of our markets.
If you would like further details about becoming a stallholder with us please register your interest via the "Stallholder Applications" page of our website.
