The Romans Return

About

The Romans run riot in the Castle once again. Plenty of participation for children, including dressing-up, kiddies drills and games, plus major demonstrations and displays by a detachment of soldiers from the Roman Military Society in full military gear.

See first hand how the Romans fought and won their battles, complete with artillery and a working bolt –thrower. Everyday life is on display too with a Roman encampment and a full-on fashion show of the latest Italian styles and trends.
