Courtyard, Meeting Rooms A and B
Climb inside a reproduction of a Victorian camera. Sam White of Lightplay will demonstrate the workings of the camera obscura. See our wonderful collection of 19th-century magic lantern slides. Make and project your very own slide. Use a stereoscope viewer to marvel at early 3D photographs. Draw a member of your family in silhouette, and create your own moving images with our praxinoscopes.
Space inside the camera is limited, so please select a timed slot when booking. Tickets give you access to the camera obscura experience at the time specified, as well as the other activities throughout the day.
