Samhain

About

Halloween is marked by many across the country by dressing up and trick-or-treating, but it can be sourced back to an ancient Celtic Festival called Samhain.

A pagan holiday dating back to the Iron Age Celts, Samhain was considered to be the Celtic New Year. It was adopted by the Romans as their own festival when they invaded Britain, and they believed that monsters, gods and magic spells were all around them.

Games, stories and a prize fancy dress competition on the spookiest night of the year!
