Roman Soldier Re-enactment Day
Fri 11 August, 10am – 4pm
A day of re-enactment with the Ermine Street Guard. Watch battle formations in the museum's Hare gallery, hear about the soldier's kit, daily life and weaponry. Children will have the chance to take part in a Soldier School and there will be living history tables for you to meet Roman soldiers and people around the galleries. Get ready to learn more about Roman military and bring a camera to have your picture taken with a Roman soldier!
