This year, Alice Park is hosting their very own Roman Day with the largest Roman re-enactment group in the UK, The Ermine Street Guard.
Imitating the Roman Army of the Time Bath was founded, The Ermine Street Guard will perform accurate military displays at the park all day.
The event begins at 10am with a Roman camp that is set up and manned by Roman soldiers in full battle-ready armour Throughout the whole event.
The main displays will take place at 12pm and 3pm, and both include the Training of Roman soldiers, marching, battle formations, and the firing of artillery weaponry.
Alice Park Cafe will also be open all day, so visitors can still enjoy their favourite coffee.
The event is completely free of charge, however the Ermine Street Guard is a registered charity, so any and all donations are encouraged.
For more information, or to get involved, contact Alice Park on marketing@alicepark.co.uk or +44 (0)7778187878.
