On Your Marks will welcome the Olympics to Cardiff in style with a host of music, comedy and sporting activities spread across the city centre. Our own Sport Cardiff coaches will be on hand to offer advice to all budding athletes while the less active can simply enjoy the spectacle of some of the funniest sporting themed street acts around. There is a vast variety of events taking place around the city from sports 'Come and Try' activities to various street performances and the St Mary Street Bandstand.

Street Artists - Various City Centre locations

• The Life guards - Perched on high chairs, these ultra strict life guards will not allow any running, jumping, acrobatics or horseplay in their pool! Even if they haven't got a pool.
• De Ramos Acrobats - Action packed acrobatics and supple somersaulting from this flexible family.
• The Sports Guides - Bursting with knowledge and statistics about some of the worlds stranger sports, they may even let you have a go.
• John Hicks - Icons - Speed painting with style, dexterity and attitude, can you guess who it is yet?
• Giant Footballers- Giant goal hangers who make Peter Crouch look like he's living up to his name.
• The Sputknicker sisters - These pre glasnost gymnasts will cause a revolution on the streets with soviet silliness and communist comedy.
• The Adjudicators - With these sports adjudicators you are sure to get amongst the medals.
• The Van Dunk brothers - Armed with a trunk full of swimming caps armbands and goggles the brothers will delight crowds with their award winning dry-land synchronised swimming display.
• Sports Day - 80s gym teachers Mr stretch and Mr Armstrong are on a mission to get the nation fit for 2012 armed with only their enthusiasm and a roving musical pommel horse.
• Team Bee Gee - This affectionate tribute to one of the UK's greatest ever groups has already been selected to ‘get a message to you' the people of Cardiff which is emphatically ‘You win again'.
• GB Olympians- these springy super fit athletes would be certain to lift several gold medals on the bounce as they hop step and jump round the streets of Cardiff.
• Splish Splash Splosh - Here come the Welsh international canoe team, who are so good they can even compete on dry land!
• The Olympiads - Watch out mortals! These super tall Gods have come all the way from Ancient Greece, to see the first event of 2012 in Cardiff and are certain to have some fun on the way to the stadium.
• Cuthbert Clott - Cuthbert may not be the first name in mind for the cycling selectors at these years Olympics but in 1974 he was unbeatable!

The Bandstand - St Mary Street

Featuring some of the best of South Wales' up and coming Folk and Acoustic acts.

Ffred Jones - Winner of last years Big Gig, Ffred is a young singer songwriter with a relaxed laid back style, great material and interesting arrangements.
Ginge and Cello Boi - This Fun up tempo mixture of skiffle Welsh folk, country and even techno is always sure to get Cardiff audience's feet tapping.
Ellie Makes Music - Hugely talented young songstress Ellie James has already raised eyebrows and performed at Swn, made the finals of the Big Gig and is hotly tipped as a star of the future.
Inconsiderate Parking - Despite being only 16 Inconsiderate Parking have already played at the Albert Hall, made the final of the Big Gig and been played on Radio 1 with their quirky mix of ukulele, melodica and acoustic guitar.
