Founded in 1979 as a small craft shop in Cornwall, Cabaret Mechanical Theatre quickly gained international recognition for its handmade automata, collaborating with local artists to define automata as a craft genre. Today, it tours its extensive collection, inspiring future generations of automata makers.
On show within the historic Torre Abbey, Cabaret Mechanical Marvels features hands-on mechanical exhibits and original artefacts from some of the finest contemporary automata makers.
