Lunchtime Talk: The making of A History of the World in 100 Objects

About

This talk takes a behind the scenes look at the making of the British Museum BBC Radio 4 series A History of the World in a 100 objects from one of the curators who supported Neil MacGregor in writing this landmark series.

How were objects for series chosen? What were the challenges of speaking about objects on the radio, and what lessons are there for other Museums?

JD Hill is Head of Research at the British Museum and was the Lead Curator for A History of the World in 100 Objects.

Previously, he was curator for the Iron Age collections at the BM and co-curator of the exhibition Buried Treasure: Finding Our Past.
