About

Castle Curator, Matthew Williams, looks at a unique experiment, begun by the 3rd Marquess of Bute in 1873 to re-introduce wine-making to Britain. A wine tasting will follow the lecture, plus sampling of the Scottish speciality Isle of Bute cheeses as we link up with the Bute Houses Partnership.

This event is part of the international ‘Museums at Night’ campaign www.culture24.org.uk/museumsatnight.
