La Columna: Wales & the Spanish Civil War

About

Journey back to May 1938; Wales prepares for air raids as Europe lurches towards conflict, however Welsh men and women are already at War in Spain. This bank holiday weekend the La Columna Spanish Civil War group will be reliving the momentous days before the Battle of the Ebro. Follow the journey from welsh cottages, through the recruitment and perilous journey across the Pyrenees to the front line trenches of the International Brigades in Spain. Interactive events will be taking place across several locations, remembering not just the men and women at the front but the contribution made by those left behind, not least to the Aid for Spain movement.
