Heritage Open Days in Bradford on Avon

About

Between Thursday 14 September and Sunday 17 September (10am – 4pm) Bradford on Avon are opening the Town Lock-up as part of Heritage Open Days.

Every year, people come to Bradford on Avon to see the Town Lock-up, an old jail cell on the town bridge.

The jail has an interesting and possibly unique history – there aren’t many lock-ups that jut out over a river and were once a 13th century chapel.

If you’ve ever wondered what the lock-up looks like on the inside, here’s your chance! You don’t need to pre-book, just pop down to the Town Bridge and see for yourself.
