Explore one of Chesterfield Museum’s off-site stores and hear how the museum looks after the items within its collection and the challenges involved.
The Museum's Collections Officer will show you around one of Chesterfield Museum’s off-site stores which houses some of the larger items from the Museum’s collection that are not normally on display including a donkey engine from Markham’s, an industrial vacuum cleaner from Donkin's and a pottery wheel from Pearson’s.
As well as showing items from the museum collection, they will also explain how we preserve these objects for future generations to enjoy.
