The church of Saints Augustine was built in 1931 in the Lombard Romanesque style of brick and terracotta. The dedication is to two Saints Augustine - Augustine of Hippo and Augustine of Canterbury.
The church is only usually open when services and activities are taking place, so this is an opportunity to have a look around this iconic Chesterfield building and also see our historical archive.
Key features of the building include several stained-glass windows, including a stunning rose window on the west elevation, and a WWI memorial commemorating those who worked at the local Donkins factory and lost their lives during the war.
There will be a member of the church present during the opening who will be very happy to answer any questions you may have.
