This half term we will be asking the question: Why build a majestic Villa here? Was it the consistent water source? Perhaps the proximity to Corinium, the second largest city in Roman Britain? Could it have been to impress visitors with dramatic views across the valley? Maybe it was the perfect sheltered position to protect the family from the weather? Become a detective and see if you can solve this mystery. You will be helped on your journey by historical characters like Censorinus (the Villa owner) and Appian (the master mosaicist).
After gathering evidence along the trail you will be able to cast your vote for the most important reason why the VIlla was built here.
There will also be several Roman themed games and puzzles for the entire family.
