The excitement is certainly building as we hear the sound of familiar footsteps heading to Dorset County Museum. Dippy, the Natural History Museum’s beloved Diplodocus is on his way to Dorset to see you lovely lot. From February- May 2018, Dippy will be staying in the Museum’s original Victorian Hall, in which the first-floor gallery will allow visitors to see Dippy closer than ever before.
This not to be missed, roarsome experience for all the family is free, with tickets allocated on a first come first serve basis. Tickets to see Dippy are being snapped up quicker than you say ‘diplodocus’, so get your skates on to ensure you don’t miss out.
Can’t wait until February 2018 to see Dippy? Check out some of the Jurassic Coast Trust’s amazing sites to walk in the footsteps of dinosaurs, or pop in to Dorset County Museum to see rare fossils from the iconic Dorset coastline such as the enormous Weymouth Bay Pliosaur jaw, the largest marine reptile ever recorded that once stalked Dorset waters.
