Step way back in time with Appetite and the Brampton Museum this May, as we bring an exciting slice of Newcastle's rich history to the Brampton site for a day of ye-old celebration and jest!
We are thrilled to be bringing a flavour of Newcastle's past to the present in this exciting day of medieval style activity and performances! Join us from 10.30am to 4pm on Saturday 28 May for celebrations the whole family can enjoy.
See history come to life with battles, combat displays and a living history camp hosted by 50 local students in handmade Medieval costume. From humble peasant to warrior knights, get up close and personal 'horrible histories style.'
Have a go at creating your own family crest with artist Kidda Kinsey! Use shapes and patterns to make a coat of arms that defines your own family values, take a snap and share with friends and family!
For wannabe wizards and witches, take part in a Magic Potion Class with Lunarts, or conjure up more creativity with weaving, sewing, calligraphy and illustration sessions.
Be prepared for courtly chaos from Quip the Jester and his mischievous juggling foolery.
Look out for the nation's TALLEST knight who's gallivanting antics will leave you in hysterics, high spirits and ready to party like it's 1199!
Come down and celebrate Castle with us.
