Battle Royal

About

An amazing evening of action and entertainment in the magnificent setting of Cardiff Castle.

Experience living history , enjoy top class entertainment and thrill to spectacular fireworks.

Historic Cardiff Castle is the venue for two evenings of unique entertainment on Saturday 31st August and Sunday 1st September. After spectators have taken their seats each Battle Royal evening show opens with a stunning re-enactment of a 17th Century military engagement staged by 100's of members of the English Civil War Society.

Colourful Cavaliers and armoured Roundheads in authentic costume will march into battle and fight it out with pike and musket.

Cannons will roar and echo across the Castle grounds as the Royalists desperately defend their stronghold against the forces of Parliament.

Followed by a concert with Pendyrus Male Choir, Julian Littman, special guests, All That Marlarkey, Mark Llewellyn Evans and a spectacular fireworks finale
