Lemn Sissay MBE, acclaimed poet and broadcaster, will be in conversation with portrait artist Fiona Graham-Mackay. This will be followed by a poetry performance by Lemn. There will also be an opportunity to chat with the artists, as well as book signing.

Lemn Sissay is author of five books of poetry spanning 25 years and has read on stages throughout the world. He was an official poet for the London Olympics and his Landmark Poems are installed throughout Manchester and London.

Fiona Graham-Mackay has painted hundreds of portraits, including Seamus Heaney and Sir Andrew Motion. Fiona’s portrait of Lemn Sissay is in the BP Portrait Award 2017 exhibition at RAMM touring from the National Portrait Gallery. She was also commissioned by BBC Radio 4 as part of the ‘A Portrait of…’ series.

Tickets include entry into BP Portrait Award 2017 and are available online or from the Royal Albert Memorial Museum reception in person or by phone using a credit or debit card on 01392 265858 during opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
