1940s WEEKEND
Turn back the clock as we remember the importance of the railways in the War effort.
GETTING TO BITTON
Visitor parking is available at Bitton Station with overflow parking available nearby at the new car opposite The Brass Mill Pub A4175 Keynsham Road (as directed by staff on the day) with a free Routemaster Shuttle Bus operating to Bitton. Disabled visitors should contact Bitton Station in advance of the event to reserve a parking space close by to the station building.
Please do not park on the A431 Bath Road or on any local residential roads – this causes a nuisance to passing traffic and our neighbours and may jeopardise any future events.
PHOTOGRAPHY
We love to see photographers enjoying our line and keeping the internet stocked up with excellent snaps of our events. However, please remember that these events are costly to stage and are reliant on support from members and visitors.
Any support you can provide is greatly appreciated – if you can’t travel, perhaps consider buying a platform ticket or a slice of cake and a cuppa
EXHIBITORS/TRADERS
This year we are welcoming traders and locomotive groups with their stands to our gala. There is limited space available so if you are interested in attending do please contact one of our events team members George Aldridge by emailing info@avonvalleyrailway.org
