Gainsborough’s House is the childhood home of one of Britain’s most important artists. The international centre for Thomas Gainsborough RA (1727 - 1788) is a hub for heritage and culture with an outstanding collection of his work. The museum and gallery have recently re-opened after a transformational redevelopment. You will be able to see Gainsborough’s masterpieces, exhibitions of international appeal and a landscape studio with panoramic views, alongside the Grade I listed house, crinkle-crankle walled garden, The Watering Place café and shop.
