Crug-Glas Country House

About

A family run business set on the family farm, the Evans' have transformed this unassuming Georgian farm house into a highly rated and relaxed home away from home. Set in 600 acres, the 7 rooms have been beautifully and sympathetically furbished and decorated very much in keeping with the surrounds, along with the luxury and range of amenities one might expect in a high quality hotel. Janet and her team offer warm and attentive hospitality throughout the stay. AA 5 Star Restaurant with Rooms. AA Best Accommodation in Wales for 2012.
Weddings are also catered for with one of the farm barns having been converted into a spacious modern wedding venue.

Janet is very much involved in the kitchen with her self taught skill and love of cooking reflected in the AA rosette awarded and the need to reserve a table in the restaurant in advance. A la carte menu offering dishes to red rosette standard and using locally sourced produce and seafood where possible. A sample starter dish might be asparagus wrapped in Parma ham served with cheese sauce and topped with poached quail eggs. A main course - Pembrokeshire cannon of lamb with a red currant reduction.

Nearby is the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coast Path, popular with walkers of all types; and the tiny cathedral city of St David's, the cathedral steeped in history and interest. The beautiful beached of Whitesands and Aberreidy close by.
