Don’t miss the world art collections at Wilton House, Corsham Court and Longleat.  There is high fashion in the interiors of South Western houses. In the 18^th century Strawberry Hill gothick was all the rage at houses like Powderham Castle, Hartland Abbey or Prideaux Place.  A century later the arts and crafts revival centred around William Morris at Kelmscott Manor. The warm climate of the South West makes it a mecca for gardeners, from the rhododendron woodlands of Bowood to the Italianate terraces of Minterne and the Peto Garden at Iford Manor.
