Last year I had a lovely Mother’s Day with the children in Cambridge, we spent the weekend paddle boarding, exploring museums and having a delightful cream tea. This year we’re having a more lowkey day but if you are on the hunt for things to do this Mother’s Day, here are some suggestions for a fun, heritage day out.
Go for a walk around Snowdonia
The UK is full of incredible National Parks and if you want a chance to take some incredible photos and soak up the views together.
Go on an underground tour of Edinburgh
For something a little different why not explore Edinburgh by taking a trip under the city? There are several underground tours to join including the Real Mary Kings Close.
Visit the scene of Game of Thrones
If you’re a fan of Game of Thrones, relive the series’ best moments by heading to Giant’s Causeway in Belfast. Find out more here.
Explore a palace or country house
The UK is full of incredible palaces and country houses that are open for visits. Why not take a flip through the latest edition of Hudsons (read it online here) or take a look at some of the places you can visit here.
