If you’re looking for things to do with the whole family this Easter, here are some of our suggestions, wherever you are in the country.
Easter Egg Trail at Deene Park

Deene Park are celebrating the opening of the house this year over the Easter weekend with a trail through the gardens. Make sure to collect an activity sheet when you arrive and see how many eggs you find in the gardens, then when you’re done, collect your prize! The Easter Bunny will also be on hand throughout the day and the house will be open from 2pm and visitors who purchase a house and garden ticket can explore the house.
Easter at Syon Park
Syon Park, London Road, Brentford, Middlesex TW8 8JF
The house and gardens will be open throughout the Easter weekend with a host of activities for the whole family taking place. Follow a trail and find all the clues for the chance to win prizes, join in some story telling sessions to learn more about the house’s Easter traditions.
Easter Egg Hunt at Gatton Park
Gatton Park, Reigate, Surry RH2 0TW
Gatton Park are hosting an Easter trail over the Easter Weekend and dogs are welcome, alongside the kids as long as they are kept on leads. The dogs that is! The fun starts on Good Friday and then continues on Easter Monday.
Easter Trail at Knebworth
Knebworth Park, Stevenage, Hertfordshire SG1 2AX
Over the bank holiday weekend, there is a trail around the gardens at Knebworth. On arrival, collect your sheets and then explore to find clues to complete a puzzle. If you complete the puzzle you get a prize at the end! Even better, season ticket holders can do the trail for free. There will be other activities, including archery taking place too, so there is something for everyone.
Toys, trails and cotton tails at Holkham Hall

With chocolate by the basketful and activities across the estate, this is the chance to fill up on seasonal treats, grab some gifts at the market and take part in a variety of activities. In the Walled Garden, you can see performances of the Velveteen Rabbit, search for chocolates and follow the nature trail.
Easter Hot Cross Bun workshop at Raby Castle
Raby Castle, Staindrop, County Durham DL2 3AH
For a tasty Easter event that doesn’t include chocolate eggs, check out this delicious workshop at Raby Castle. The estate’s chef, Tom Parry, will be leading a demonstration in their Medieval Kitchen where you can make your own traditional buns. While they’re baking, take a tour of the castle and then sample your wares. There are several other Easter events taking place at the castle and they are happy for dogs to visit the Deer Park, so they can join in the fun too!
Easter holidays at Temple Newsam

Meet the new arrivals at the farm, from lambs to piglets to chicks and more! No matter when you decide to visit, there are two weeks worth of activities to coincide with the school holidays, so even if you already have plans over the bank holiday, there is still plenty of seasonal fun to be had.
